Weeks after staging a protest at the Survey Bhavan in Narayanguda on June 23, licensed surveyors in Telangana continue to press their demands for a fixed monthly salary and job security, with no resolution yet from the state government.
Members of the Telangana Revenue Licensed Surveyors Association reiterated that nearly 6,500 surveyors across the state remain without employment security despite being officially licensed.
They said their earlier agitation, which included laying siege to the
Survey Bhavan, has not yielded any concrete assurances.
Association leaders, including state president Nagar Ramesh and general secretary Kommu Shekhar, have maintained that working on a commission basis is not sustainable and have demanded a minimum monthly salary of Rs 30,000 along with formal recognition and job protection.
The surveyors also expressed disappointment that, despite licences being issued in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, their employment concerns remain unaddressed.
