Rajanna-Sircilla: A leopard was sighted on the outskirts of Ragatlapalli of Yellareddypet mandal on Monday. According to local people, a farmer from Ragatlapalli, Rayam Suresh, saw the leopard in his agricultural fields.
As usual, Suresh went to his agricultural fields to examine water levels. While he was walking on the banks of the fields, a leopard roared just a few metres away from him. Shocked after seeing the wild animal in front of him,
Suresh ran away from the spot and alerted other farmers. Forest Range Officer Srihariprasad along with his staff visited the spot and examined pug marks of the wild animal.
The FRO advised that the farmers from the surrounding villages should be alert since the leopard was moving in the area. Advising the farmers to move in groups, he said that it was not good to visit agricultural fields alone.
