Leopard Cub Found Dead in Amrabad Tiger Reserve on Srisailam Road

A leopard cub was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Amrabad Tiger Reserve (ATR) limits on Srisailam Road in Nagarkurnool district on Sunday night. 

Officials said the cub aged between six and eight months was found dead on the roadside at Gundam checkpost. 

They said no external injuries were found on



the body and added that the exact reasons behind the incident could be ascertained only after getting the post-mortem report. 

Preliminary investigation revealed that the leopard cub could have died after an unknown vehicle hit while crossing the road near the checkpost where safari vehicles enter the tiger reserve, officials added.
