Lenkalapalli village Sarpanch Dies in Road Accident

In a tragic incident, the Sarpanch of Lenkalapalli village in Nallabelli mandal, Kasturi Vijayalakshmi (40), died in the early hours of Thursday while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a road accident.

Reports state that her husband, Ravinder, remains in critical condition, According to family members, Vijayalakshmi and her husband Ravinder were traveling from Narsampet to Lenkalapalli on a two-wheeler on Wednesday night. 

As they reached the bridge between Itikalapalli and Narakkapet villages, an unidentified vehicle coming from the opposite direction collided



head-on with their bike. Both husband and wife fell and sustained severe injuries in the collision.

The injured couple was rushed by a 108 ambulance to Narsampet Government Hospital for initial treatment. Doctors there referred them to a private hospital in Warangal for advanced medical care. 

While undergoing treatment at the private hospital in Warangal, Vijayalakshmi succumbed to her injuries in the early hours of Thursday. Her husband, Ravinder, who is undergoing treatment, remains critical. Nallabelli Police have registered a case and are making efforts to trace the vehicle.
