LB Nagar SI dies in sleep, heart attack suspected

A Sub-Inspector working at the LB Nagar Police Station died in his sleep on Wednesday, creating an atmosphere of grief among the staff.

The officer, Sanjay Sawant (58), was found unconscious on a cot inside the station barracks during the early hours. Police personnel immediately



shifted him to Kamineni Hospital, where doctors declared that he had died before arrival.

Preliminary medical opinion indicated that a heart attack may have been the cause of death.

Sanjay Sawant had been serving at the LB Nagar Police Station for the last two years.
