Laxman 'Telangana Gets Major Boost in Highways, Railways and Infra'

Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman on Saturday said that the 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi have witnessed unprecedented progress in welfare, infrastructure development, women’s empowerment and transparent governance. 

Addressing the ‘VARTA’ Media Interaction Programme organized by the Press Information Bureau, Hyderabad, Dr Laxman highlighted flagship initiatives such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, PM SVANidhi, PM Mudra Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman



Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which have improved the lives of crores of people, particularly the poor, women and marginalized sections.

He noted that more than 11 crore women have benefited from the Ujjwala scheme, while the Swachh Bharat Mission has enhanced dignity and safety by ensuring access to sanitation facilities. 

He also highlighted the distribution of free food grains to over 81 crore beneficiaries and the healthcare benefits provided under Ayushman Bharat.
