Refuting the BRS leader T Harish Rao’s allegation that Rs 2000 crore scam took place in Gurukulam tenders, the SC,ST Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar questioned as to how was it possible when the total cost of the tender was Rs 1140 crore.
Online tenders were invited enabling the contractors across the country to take part in the tendering process. Tenders were invited through a special Chief Secretary.
He, Prabhakar and special CS were ready to resign if irregularities in Gurukulam tenders were
proved, he challenged while interacting with media here on Wednesday.
Responding to Harish Rao’s comments that ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Adluri Laxman Kumar were not aware about tenders in their own departments, he said that it was the history of the BRS government wherein the review meeting of police department was done without informing the then Home Minister.
Till recent past, the BRS leaders spoke about alleged scams in civil supplies and Singareni. Now, they have picked up the Gurukulam issue.
