Stormwater drain works distress for motorists by disrupting the traffic flow in Lakdikapul for the last couple of months.

Commuters express their frustration over the delays caused by civil work, resulting in traffic jams lasting for hours, more so during the peak hours. Traffic from Khairatabad proceeding towards the Assembly, Nampally, and Abids gets slowed at the junction as the stretch became narrow due to ongoing construction.

heading towards Mehdipatnam and Khairatabad also slows down at the junction as 60 percent of the main stretch is blocked for civil work. The gravel spread on the roads of Lakdikapul junction cause further inconvenience to commuters.

The GHMC undertook the stormwater drain works on both sides of the main junction near the Metro Station at a cost of Rs 1.3 crore to prevent frequent waterlogging incidents. However, the work has been progresing at a sluggish pace adding to the miseries of motorists.
