A flight operating from Kuwait to Hyderabad made an emergency diversion to Mumbai on Tuesday morning after the airline reportedly received an email claiming that a bomb had been planted on board.
According to information available, the aircraft, scheduled to land at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at around 8.10 am, was instructed to alter
its course mid-air as a precautionary measure.
The pilot reportedly informed passengers about the threat, prompting tense moments inside the cabin as the flight proceeded to Mumbai under emergency protocols.
On landing there, the aircraft was quickly moved to an isolation bay, and a full-scale security drill was initiated.
