BRS working president and IT minister K.T. Rama Rao assured to meet government job aspirants at Ashok Nagar on December 4, a day after the Assembly poll results are declared, to discuss filling up of vacancies and TSPSC related issues.

He was speaking at a meeting with government job aspirants here on Monday.

The aspirants largely based in Ashok Nagar hailing from different districts of Telangana reached out to the minister to find a way forward. Rao assured them that his party would stand by all such aspirants. He said that if BRS is elected to power, the government will reform TSPSC, release the job calendar, increase Group-II posts and expedite the process of conducting pending recruitment exams.

After the two-hour meeting, Rao tweeted, "Had an insightful conversation with the Govt job aspirants from Ashok Nagar who came to meet me with a hope to find a way forward. Assured them that the future is bright and will be meeting them at their adda immediately after election (sic)".

During the course of a freewheeling interaction, the aspirants asked several questions related to the job calendar, reconstitution of the TSPSC board and cancellation and postponement of exams, among others.

He said that no one can question their commitment to create government jobs,

especially the Congress party which did not even give 1,000 jobs in a year when they were in power in the undivided Andhra Pradesh from 2004-2014.

In contrast, in the last 9.5 years, the BRS government gave 16,000 jobs every year. He said that they are continuing the process of filling up 2.30 lakh government jobs. More than 1.62 lakh government jobs have already been filled, he said.

The Industries minister appealed to the youth and students to know facts and debunk the false propaganda being spread by the Congress party, which is using them to achieve its selfish gains.

The aspirants said that they were happy that he had a wide conversation with them on this issue.

Rao said that the suggestions given by the students will be taken forward with a positive attitude. He promised that Group-II jobs will be increased by another 1,000 and notifications will be issued soon.

In addition, he assured that the job calendar will be released immediately after BRS comes to power.

Rao said that when he was young, he had the experience of working in the private sector for almost a decade, and he understands the challenges and problems of achieving a job, whether government of a private one.
