IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao put BJP State president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on notice for making false allegations against him, warning him of legal action if he did not stop his ranting.

In a tweet, Rama Rao demanded of Sanjay Kumar to prove his allegations by presenting evidence in public domain or apologise publicly. “BS Kumar, if you don’t stop this ludicrous, baseless & irresponsible allegations, I’ll be constrained to take legal action. If you have an iota of evidence to prove what you allege, please put it in public domain or else apologise publicly for this BS rhetoric, (sic)” he tweeted.

The TRS working president was responding to allegations levelled by Sanjay during his Praja Sangrama Yatra in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday. The BJP MP alleged that the negligence of the State government and the mistakes of Rama Rao’s alleged benami company had forced 27 intermediate students to commit suicide. He vowed to send Rama Rao to jail if the BJP comes to power in the State.

Meanwhile, Sanjay got a shocker from women who participated in an

interaction with him during the Praja Sangrama Yatra. In a video that went viral on social media, a woman complained about the raw deal she got from the party, explaining that her husband had been a loyal BJP activist in her village and worked for the party throughout his life. But she received no help from the party or its leaders when he passed away, she said.

Assuring her that he would visit her at home, Sanjay asked her whether she was getting widow or old age pension from the Telangana government. To his shock, she said she was in no need since Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had provided her with Rs 5 lakh insurance amount under Rythu Bima scheme following her husband’s death.

Responding to the video, Rama Rao said the hallmark of the Chandrashekhar Rao government was welfare to all vulnerable, irrespective of their political affiliation. “A BJP worker’s family has been paid Rs 5 lakh as Rythu Bima, says his wife to the BJP leaders (Farmer Insurance where entire premium is paid by Govt supporting 40 lakh farmers), (sic)” he tweeted.
