BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday tore into the three ministers from the district, branding them as ‘the three cheaters’ (Mugguru Mosagallu) and alleging that they had done nothing for public welfare in Khammam.
The ministers Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and Thummala Nageswara Rao were instead busy amassing wealth by demanding 30 percent commissions in works sanctioned in their respective departments, he
alleged.
Addressing party cadres here, Rama Rao said BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had planned to irrigate 7.5 lakh acres under the Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project, of which 90 percent of the works had already been completed.
However, the Congress government had failed to execute the remaining works. Despite having three ministers from the district, farmers were not even provided urea, he said.
