KTR lauds farmers for forcing Congress to release Jurala water

BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday lauded farmers for their inspiring fight to secure water from the Jurala project, stating that their protest had forced the Congress government to act. 

He reminded them that those fighting for a cause have nothing to lose but getting rid of the chains of slavery.

Reacting to the release of water from the Jurala project, Rama Rao said farmers launched the agitation when their fields were completely drying up and fought for their rights. “For prodding this



Kumbhakarna government with a thorny stick and making it run, my heartfelt thanks to you,” he said, thanking the farmers for their struggle. He also appreciated BRS leaders who joined the farmers’ agitation and stood with them.

He said the BRS will take responsibility for fighting to ensure the government meets the basic needs of people in Telangana for the remaining two years of the Congress government’s term. “Questioning, fighting and, if necessary, fighting with anyone for our Telangana rights is our only goal,” he said.
