KTR joins protest over proposed solar power plants in Kalwakurthy

Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao and former MLA Jaipal Yadav joined a dharna in Kalwakurthy constituency, Kodtal, against the proposed solar power plants on agricultural land and the regional ring road.

The protest, led by local farmers, highlighted growing concerns over forcible land acquisitions under the current Congress government. The farmers losing land alleged that the projects



were part of a larger scheme to benefit private interests at the expense of their livelihoods.

Addressing the gathering, Rama Rao reaffirmed the party’s support for the farmers.

“Some brothers came to Telangana Bhavan recently. The BRS party will stand by you,” he said, also emphasising the role of the country’s judicial system. “There is a justice system in the nation.”
