BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Wednesday welcomed the High Court’s stay on the Justice PC Ghose Commission report, calling it a tight slap in the face of the Congress government and its alleged conspiracies of political vendetta.

He condemned any attempts to deprive rightful share of Telangana in Godavari River water and push the State’s farmers into crisis.

In a statement, Rama Rao said the court’s directive barring any action based on the report, had exposed the misuse of

institutions for political purposes.

He reiterated the BRS stand that the report was politically motivated, and said the verdict validated concerns raised earlier by party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao over violations of natural justice during the inquiry.

“The judgment affirms that constitutional institutions cannot be misused for narrow political gains,” he said, adding that the ruling had effectively halted the government’s conspiracies against the Kaleshwaram project.
