Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister and TRS working president KT Rama Rao turned good samaritan by lending a helping hand to an MBBS student who was struggling to pay her tuition fee, on Wednesday.

Tirupati Anusha, a resident of Borabanda in Hyderabad city, is pursuing her MBBS from Kyrgyzstan Health University in Kyrgyzstan. A merit student, Anusha secured 95 per cent marks in the three years of her MBBS course. However, she had to return home due to Covid-19 pandemic.

With the financial condition turning worse, Anusha started selling vegetables along with her mother, while her father was working as a

watchman. She has lost all hopes to return to Kyrgyzstan and continue her studies.

When Minister KT Rama Rao came to know about Anusha’s plight and her efforts to pursue medical education with a passion despite her family’s financial condition, he came forward to support her education.

On Wednesday, Anusha had met the Minister who promised all support and handed over a cheque to fund her education abroad. Wishing her the best, he wanted her to complete her studies and return home as a doctor to serve the needy. Anusha and her family thanked the Minister for coming to their rescue and supporting medical education.
