Raising concern over severe flooding due to incessant rains across the State, BRS working president KT Rama Rao demanded that the State government initiate urgent relief operations in Telangana.

He also urged the party cadre to join the relief and rescue measures to help the needy.

Due to the continuous downpour, large parts of Kamareddy, Medak, Rajanna Sircilla, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Khammam and

Adilabad have been submerged, leaving hundreds of villages marooned.

Several highways, including stretches of the National Highway 44, have been cut off, while inter-district roads were severely damaged due to gushing floodwaters.

Bridges got washed away, traffic has come to a standstill, and thousands of people are stranded without food, clean drinking water, electricity, or medical care.
