KTR condemns city bus fare hike by Congress govt

BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the Congress government’s decision to hike in the city bus fares steeply. 

He charged Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with looting the poor and middle-class through repeated hikes of bus fares.

Terming the move cruel and insensitive, Rama Rao said the Congress government had



increased fares not once. 

He said with Rs 10 hike, the government was imposing an unbearable financial burden on daily commuters in Hyderabad. 

“At a time when prices of essential commodities are soaring, how will the poor survive if an additional Rs 500 a month is extracted from each commuter?” he asked the Chief Minister.
