KTR condemns arrests of auto drivers across Telangana

Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K.T. Rama Rao has condemned illegal arrests of thousands of auto drivers and union leaders statewide.

He called the action of the Congress government outrageous and suppressive.The arrests began on January 2 in response to the Telangana Auto Rickshaw Drivers’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) call for a siege of the State Assembly on January

The protest aimed to demand the immediate implementation of election promises made by the Congress party to auto drivers.

He slammed the government for detaining auto drivers and leaders in various police stations across the state without justification. 

He said the government wanted to silence voices questioning the government’s failure to honor its commitments.
