BRS working president KT Rama Rao announced that Telangana Formation Day would be celebrated on a grand scale on June 2 at Telangana Bhavan and all the party offices across the State. He called upon party cadres, senior leaders, and people from all walks of life to actively participate in the celebrations. The party’s founding member and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, S Madhusudhana Chari, would hoist the national flag followed by the party flag as part of the celebrations at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad.
In a statement, Rama Rao who left for a trip to UK and US on Tuesday, urged hoisting of the national flag and the BRS party flag at all district offices, constituencies, municipalities, towns, and mandal headquarters, emphasising that the celebrations should reflect the pride and spirit of the Telangana movement.
Calling the Telangana movement a people’s movement, he asked all BRS units to celebrate the day with the people, honouring the collective spirit that brought the State into being.
“The Telangana State was achieved through 14 years of relentless struggle under the visionary leadership of BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao. This day must be celebrated with pride and spirit of the statehood struggle,” he stated, reminding the public of the sacrifices made by martyrs, students, and government employees during the movement.
The BRS leader said the first decade of Telangana’s journey has become a model for the nation. He said flagship schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Mission Kakatiya, and Mission Bhagiratha have inspired various other States across the country, becoming synonymous with Telangana’s innovative governance, he noted.
