Calling the National Human Rights Commission report on the Lagacherla episode a significant step towards justice for the tribal farmers and women who fought valiantly against the administration, Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president KT Rama Rao expressed gratitude to the Commission for exposing the human rights violations in the case.

The report highlighted alleged high-handed actions by the Congress government and its police force against tribal farmers and women in the region, he said.

“Extremely thankful to the National Human Rights Commission for its report highlighting the gross violation of Human Rights in Lagacherla, Telangana. The report exposed what we have been saying all along – the Congress Govt and its police acted

high handedly towards the tribal farmers and women of Lagacherla. I hope this report acts as a warning to everyone who thinks that those in power are absolutely above law,” he said in a strongly worded post on X.

“Governments come and go, but abuse of power will not be tolerated.. This is a great first step for all this tribal brothers and sisters who fought valiantly against the Revanth Government. I congratulate all of them and reiterate BRS’s dedication for the cause of Telangana.. I demand an unconditionally apology to the farmers of Lagacharla from Revanth Reddy who is not just the Chief Minister but also the Home Minister of Telangana…,” he said, emphasizing that the NHRC report validated the concerns raised by BRS and the affected communities.
