BRS working president KT Rama Rao and BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao paid rich tributes to Telangana ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on his birth anniversary, recalling his lifelong commitment and contribution to the Telangana statehood movement.
Rama Rao termed Jayashankar as Telangana’s guiding light and a source of ideological inspiration, who devoted his entire life to the single goal of achieving statehood. He recalled Jayashankar’s close
association with BRS chief and the movement leader K Chandrashekhar Rao and his role in spreading Telangana ideology and awakening people during the movement.
He said the previous BRS government honoured his services by naming Bhupalapally district and an agricultural university after him.
Harish Rao called Jayashankar as a symbol of the aspirations of four-and-a-half crore Telangana people and hailed his lifelong struggle for statehood.
