BRS Working President KT Rama Rao celebrated his birthday on Thursday with party social media activist Durgam Shashidhar Goud, also known as Nalla Balu, at Indresham village near Patancheru. Rama Rao cut a cake and had lunch with Goud’s family, including his mother, wife and children.

In a clear show of solidarity, Rama Rao assured the family of his full support. His visit was seen as a morale booster for the family, especially as Goud has been arrested multiple times in recent months by Telangana police for political posts on social

media.

Soon after news of Rama Rao’s visit spread, dozens of BRS workers and local leaders flocked to Goud’s residence to catch a glimpse of him and extend birthday greetings.

The BRS leader’s visit was aimed at sending a strong message to party cadres across the State — that the party will stand firmly with its rank and file, especially those facing pressure for political expression. Several cases have been registered against Shashidhar Goud in different police stations across Telangana, drawing criticism from several quarters.
