BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the house arrests of senior party leaders attempting to support protesting farmers in Vikarabad district.
He termed the detention of BRSLP deputy leaders T Harish Rao and P Sabitha Indra Reddy, along with former MLAs Koppula Mahesh Reddy, Narender Reddy, and Vikarabad district
president Methuku Anand, as a cowardly act. He accused the government of using police force to crush dissent.
“Silencing opposition voices through coercion is nothing short of murdering democracy,” he said. Demanding the immediate release of detained leaders, he called for an immediate halt to the proposed 1,200 acre land acquisition.
