The Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has issued a stern warning to private medical and dental colleges in Telangana regarding illegal collection of tuition fees.
The University clarified that the total course fee for MBBS and BDS programmes must be calculated for four-and-half-years only, even though it is collected in five annual
installments.
The Health Varsity made it clear that private medical and dental colleges must not collect fees in advance or charge additional amounts from students who are detained or fail an academic year.
The University also warned of ‘stringent action’, including cancellation of affiliation, for any institution found harassing students or deviating from these government-mandated guidelines.
