Khairatabad Ganesh Immersion Procession Begins

The procession of Khairatabad Ganesh idol has started on Friday morning to immerse it in Hussainsagar near NTR Marg. A special Bahubali crane was provided at NTR marg for immersion of the idol. 

The organizers performed last harathi to the idol on Friday midnight paving the way to workers to conduct welding works on the heavy truck to carry the idol. The procession was supposed to be started between 6 am and 7 am but it got



delayed to some technical reasons before lifting the idol.

However, the police and the organizers finally started the procession. The giant sized Ganesh idol installed at the pandal at Khairatabad was the main attraction of the Ganesh festivities in Telangana. This year, a 69-ft-tall idol was installed at the Khairatabad pandal. The idol has been named as 'Pancha Mukha Sankata Hara Maha Ganapati' wishing for removal of devotees' obstacles.
