Khairatabad Ganesh draws huge crowds despite heavy rains

Despite heavy rains, the 69-ft-tall Panchamukha Sankatahara Maha Ganapathi at the Khairatabad pandal is witnessing an unprecedented surge of devotees, with queue lines stretching as crowds gather to catch a glimpse of the iconic idol on Monday.

Massive crowds continued to pour in as the venue remained packed. Ganesh Utsav Committee and local police jointly organised queue lines to help devotees seek the blessings of the eco-friendly deity.

crossing near Khairatabad Metro station leading to Khairatabad Ganesh, in view of the heavy rush.

Padmashali Sangham members marked Ganesh Chaturthi by honouring the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh with a specially crafted offering comprising a monumental 75-foot Kanduva (sacred towel), a grand Jandhyam (sacred thread) and Garika mala (durva grass garland). 

The offering was presented for the fifth consecutive year as part of the Sangham’s tradition, combining devotion with the community’s craftsmanship.
