Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is likely to seek the intervention of the Prime Minister regarding the non-release of Central share which had adversely affected the functioning of the TSRTC.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, KCR will explain to him about the 55-day strike and how the government had come up with an employee-friendly decision and was striving to pull the corporation out of red.

The Chief Minister is likely to urge the PM to extend a helping hand by releasing the Central funds since it is one of the stake holders. It may be mentioned here that the Chief Minister during his interaction with TSRTC employees on Sunday stated that he will draw the attention of the Prime Minister towards the financial crisis the corporation was facing and will seek his help to make it a profit-making unit.

It is estimated that the

Centre owed to the RTC a whopping Rs 20,000 crore as it holds 31 per cent share in the corporation. KCR is also likely to meet Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokriyal and would ask him to expedite the setting up of IIM (Indian Institute of Management), which has been sanctioned to the state. He is also slated to meet Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.

Sources said that the CM will also draw the attention of the Union ministers towards the pending issues like setting up of Tribal and Horticulture Universities in Telangana as per the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014. As the Winter Session of Parliament is on, officials said that KCR will hold a brief meeting with TRS MPs and ascertain the status of release of Central funds to the state in various categories, mainly under the employment guarantee, health and educational schemes.
