Former Chief Minister and BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao will appear before the Justice PC Ghose Commission on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at BRK Bhavan in Hyderabad in connection with the inquiry into alleged irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. The party cadres are already queuing up at his Erravelli residence and are expected in large numbers at BRK Bhavan.
With Chandrashekhar Rao set to be questioned by the commission, elaborate security arrangements have been put in place. A huge number of police personnel have been deployed, and roads around BRK Bhavan have been closed for regular commuters. Only employees are being permitted inside BRK Bhavan, with visitors being turned away at the gates. Barricades have been erected along key roads, including Tank Bund, GHMC and MLA
Quarters.
Heavy movement was observed at the former Chief Minister’s Erravalli residence ahead of the proceedings. BRS MLC K Kavitha visited him, along with her husband. She is likely to accompany him to BRK Bhavan.
Senior leader T Harish Rao has been camping at Erravelli since Tuesday evening. He was joined by Rajya Sabha MP Vaddiraju Ravichandra, BRS leader RS Praveen Kumar and others on Wednesday morning. Police presence has also been heightened around Erravalli.
Meanwhile, BRS working president KT Rama Rao and several other leaders are scheduled to meet at former Minister and senior MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav’s residence at the Adarshnagar MLA quarters. They will be closely monitoring the situation and are expected to address the media.
