"Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is running away from all our invitations for a debate on development because, instead of making progress, the state is going backwards," BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said on Friday.

Speaking at the Formation Day function at the party headquarters, Sanjay said, "The so-called ‘Bangaru Telangana’ is nowhere to be seen and the state, achieved after a long struggle, blood and sweat of the people, has become a prisoner of four people from one family."

"Everyone, especially all those who took part in the statehood movement should recall the struggle and remind themselves of the hard work that went into making Telangana possible and ask themselves if the aim of achieving statehood has been achieved," Sanjay said.

"Join hands with us to put an end to

the corrupt BRS government. In the last nine years, the Centre gave Telangana 4 lakh crore but this was divided up by four persons in the KCR family. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, unable to face the BJP, changed his party name from the TRS to the BRS, and his rule has put Telangana into jeopardy on every front," he said.

Promising a better future to the people and the state under a BJP government, Sanjay said it was after gaining first-hand knowledge of the problems being faced by people under the "corrupt and directionless rule by KCR" that the party decided that it will provide free education, free healthcare, implement PM Fasal Bima Yojana and take steps to ensure farmer welfare and announce and implement a job calendar for timely recruitments to fill vacancies in the government.
