Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said Yadadri temple is taking shape as a most beautiful place. KCR who inspected the ongoing works on Sunday expressed his satisfaction. He said the pace of works needs to be speeded up. At the same time, he said it may take time as the temple, the abode of Lakshmi, is being built as per Agama Sastra.

The temple that is coming up in 1000 acres, he said, will have best of the facilities for the benefit of devotees. There will also be a Nitya Annadana Satram where free food will be served to the devotees on the lines of Tirumala. He said so far about Rs 10 crore donations have been received for the scheme. He said the building for free food to devotees would be constructed on the northern side below the hillock where the main temple is located.

The Chief Minister said the government had released Rs 70 crore for land acquisition for the building. In addition to this, bus



stations and choultries would be constructed. Arrangements for Teppotsavam in Gandhi Cheruvu are also being made.

KCR said this would become a unique temple in the world. The seven-floor main gopuram has stone carvings. The Chief Minister said the purpose of temples is to hand over the culture and tradition from one generation to the other. He further said that 350 quarters in about 250 acres will be constructed. Hotels and convention centres will also be constructed near the Basvapur project.

The Chief Minister said Vaishnavaite pundits from 133 countries will attend the inauguration of the temple and will participate in the yagams that would be performed here under the guidance of Tridandi Srimannarayana Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers and others would attend the inauguration ceremony.
