Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to undertake Delhi yatra to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union finance minister Arun Jaitley and others to urge them to come to the rescue of the state, “whose economy is badly hit by demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes.”Rao dropped enough hints to this effect during his interaction with his party MPs at his camp office here on Tuesday.
“The chief minister told us that Centre’s sudden move had pushed the state economy into doldrums. This would have negative

impact on the state’s revenues. Hence, the CM is planning to meet PM and finance minister, during the ensuing winter session of Parliament,” sources said.
The TRS decided to follow a “guarded approach” over the issue in the Parliament, scheduled to begin on Wednesday. The party leadership is of the view that its MPs should not be very critical of the Centre’s move. Instead, they would urge the Centre to address the concerns of states like Telangana whose economy was hit by the sudden move.
