In his message, Chandrashekhar Rao said Ugadi holds special significance marking commencement of agricultural activities afresh. He stated that the festival marked the transition of nature from winter to spring, bringing new foliage, new hopes and fresh
resolutions, and signifying the cyclical renewal of time.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao also conveyed greetings on the occasion of Ugadi, wishing that the new year would usher in victory of good over evil and bring auspiciousness, long life and good health to the people.
BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao said Ugadi symbolised the blend of sweet and bitter experiences in life, much like the traditional Ugadi Pachadi which combines different tastes.
