KCR honours tribal hero Kumram Bheem on Birth Anniversary

BRS president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao paid rich tributes to tribal icon Kumram Bheem on his birth anniversary on Wednesday. 

He said the Telangana icon was the inspiration behind the Telangana statehood movement.

In a statement, Chandrashekhar Rao said the Gond hero’s



struggle for his self-respect and rights over “Jal, Jungle, Zameen” laid the foundation for the fight for Telangana’s rights and self-respect. 

He recalled that during the ten-year BRS rule, his government worked to realise Bheem’s vision by implementing welfare and development programmes for tribal communities.
