Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao  who held a review meeting on Friday refuted the reports that his government targeted film industry in the investigation into the drug racket. He clarified there is also no truth in saying that drug menace penetrated in the IT industry in the State. 

CM K Chandrashekar Rao has instructed the concerned officials to take up measures to eradicate smuggling of banned drugs in the state. Making it clear that strict action would be taken



against the drug peddlers and dealers, KCR said that the government will punish the accused but won't treat the drug users as criminals adding that no difficulties would be created for the victims in the case.

Condemning the allegations that the state government is targeting the Telugu film industry in the investigation into the drug racket, the Chief Minister further announced the cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for information about drug dealers and peddlers.
