Kavitha Launches New Party Telangana Rashtra Sena

Former MLC K Kavitha here on Saturday announced her new party, declaring its name as Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS). She made this announcement at a convention centre at Munirabad in Medchal.

Several leaders from Telangana came to participate in the meeting convened to announce the party name. 

Kavitha also unveiled party at the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, she said the aspiration of the people of Telangana remained



unfulfilled even after carving out separate Telangana 12 years ago.

“Some mistakes happened earlier and I was also part of those mistakes and I sincerely apologize for that ensuring that would not reoccur in future,” she said, recalling as how the “Bhathukamma” festival organized under the aegis of Telangana Jagruthi across the State enabled during the agitation for separate State. She offered prayers at her residence in Banjara Hills ahead of her party launch.
