Kalapathar police buy Ganesh laddu for Rs 33,000 at auction

The Kalapathar police emerged as the winning bidders at a local Ganesh laddu auction, purchasing the sacred offering for Rs 33,000 at Mochi Colony in the city.

The auction was organised by the Mahesh Ganesh Youth Association.

The participation of police personnel in the religious event was part of the department’s Friendly Policing initiative, said Kalapathar Inspector Khaleel Pasha.

The event witnessed the



participation of local residents, members of the youth association and police personnel. The auction of the Ganesh laddu became a highlight of the celebrations, with the Kalapathar police placing the winning bid of Rs 33,000.

Officials said such community-oriented initiatives provide an opportunity for police personnel to interact with residents in a cordial atmosphere and encourage greater public participation in maintaining peace and harmony in the locality.
