Department of Zoology at Kakatiya Government College conducted a one-day international seminar on “Biomedical Research: Exploring the Frontiers of Health and Disease” on Wednesday.
The seminar featured eminent speakers from across the globe, focusing on cutting-edge topics in biomedical science.
Dr Chandra Goparaju, a senior scientist from NYU Langone Health, New York, delivered a keynote lecture on “Mesothelioma Biomarkers: Discovery in Search of Validation”, highlighting the evolving landscape of cancer detection and diagnostics.

Reddy from Vasavi Hospitals presented a talk on “Innovative Trends in Shaping the Future of Women’s Health”, focusing on technology-driven solutions in modern healthcare.
The third lecture was delivered by Dr Amitava Bandu, Department of Biotechnology, NIT Warangal, who spoke on “Drug Resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis: Mechanism and Therapeutic Approaches”, emphasizing the urgent need for novel interventions against TB.
The event was coordinated by Dr P Rohini and Dr A Sanjeeviah, Head of the Department of Zoology, with overall supervision by Principal Prof G Srinivas.
