Joining BRS is a turning point in my career, says Jeevan Reddy

Senior political leader T Jeevan Reddy has termed his joining the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as a turning point in his political career. Despite being with Congress for four decades, he said he faced mental agony and discrimination during the last 20 months.Politics

Unable to tolerate discrimination in the Congress, he joined the BRS, but not with a desire for positions or power, he clarified while addressing a public meeting after joining the BRS in the presence of party president K Chandrashekhar Rao at the Praja Ashirvada Sabha held in Jagtial on Monday.

During his emotional speech, Jeevan Reddy explained the reasons for his decision to quit the Congress party. Recalling his long-standing association with Chandrashekhar Rao since their student days, he said that the



BRS chief had invited him into the party when the TRS was started. However, being a disciplined person, he continued in the Congress.

It was a great opportunity for him to work with Chandrashekhar Rao, who achieved a separate Telangana state after a long struggle. He found fault with the state government for setting aside the welfare schemes introduced by Chandrashekhar Rao and said the Congress was not in a position to implement its poll promises.

The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, who was not taking up Medigadda pillar repair work, also failed to remove the bodies of eight labourers who died in the SLBC tunnel collapse. He credited KCR’s vision for the formation of Jagtial district, the establishment of the Medical College, and the increase in reservations for tribals.
