Former minister Jogu Ramanna said that members of the ruling Congress and the BJP were showing interest in joining the BRS after becoming dissatisfied with the policies of the two parties.

Ramanna welcomed former vice-MPP Benwar Gangareddy from the Congress and Mutyala and Suresh Kishtanna from the BJP into the BRS by presenting them with party

scarves at a programme held here on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramanna said people were facing various challenges due to the inefficient governance of the Congress. He said farmers were reeling under a crisis as the government had failed to take steps to provide irrigation for crops and supply Rythu Bharosa assistance, seeds and fertilisers.
