Senior Congress leader Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday held a crucial meeting with Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud at his residence in Jagtial.

The meeting, which was seen as an attempt by the party leadership to pacify the veteran leader, concluded without a breakthrough. Despite assurances from PCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, Jeevan Reddy remained firm on his

decision, indicating dissatisfaction with the party’s current direction.

Following the discussions, Mahesh Kumar Goud, along with party leader Sachin Sawant, left Reddy’s residence.

Soon after the meeting, Jeevan Reddy announced that he would resign from the Congress party on Wednesday, signaling a significant development within the state unit.
