International Short Film Festival to be held in Hyderabad from Dec 19 to 21

The Telangana Government has approved three initiatives to strengthen the State’s film and television ecosystem. 

It issued a Governor Order permitting Telangana Film Development Corporation (TGFDC) to sponsor the upcoming Hyderabad International Short Film Festival, to be held from December 19 to 21, 2025, in collaboration with the Dadasaheb Phalke School of Film



Studies. 

A budget of ₹30 lakh has been sanctioned from the Corporation’s existing funds for the event.

The Government also permitted the Young Filmmakers Awards Function to be organised with a budget of ₹30 lakh — to be met from the Corporation’s funds. A panel was reconstituted including Singer Rahul Sipligunj, Director Balagam Venu, Director Harish Shankar, Cinematographer P.G. Vinda.
