Frustration is simmering among the residents of Kalyan Nagar and Vengalrao Nagar in the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency over incomplete cement concrete roads in their colonies.

The residents are upset that the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) started laying a new CC road network ahead of the by-poll schedule but left it unfinished for several weeks.

This incomplete work, the residents said, has been causing

inconvenience and posing safety hazards, with commuters facing difficulties navigating uneven surfaces and scattered debris.

“We were initially happy that damaged roads would finally receive a facelift after a gap of two decades, but the hopes evaporated as officials turned a blind eye to completing the works. For the past month, two and four-wheelers have not been coming out as the roads remain dug up,” said G Krishna Reddy, a resident of Kalyan Nagar.
