IMD predicts thunderstorm likely in Hyderabad today

The weather in Telangana State is likely to remain cloudy as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts  thunderstorms would persist on Friday as well.

According to the IMD, “Thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds and lightning very likely to occur at isolated places in many of the districts.”

The thunderstorms could be seen in Hyderabad, Ranga reddy, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Mahaboobnagar, Khammam, Karimnagar and



others.

Despite the thunderstorm effect, the temperature in the state continued to rise on Thursday too. Adilabad has recorded 43 degrees celsius, while there was also some amount of  rainfall recorded in Nagarkurnool and Jogulamba Gadwal, which is short lived. Hyderabad, meanwhile, has recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees celsius deviating two degrees celsius from the normal level.
