IMD issues yellow warning for Hyderabad

Hyderabad woke up wrapped in a thick blanket of gray clouds on Thursday.

Due to a prevailing intense western disturbance, the city is likely to witness rainfall upto 15.6 mm over the next two days. The officials at India Meteorological Department – Hyderabad have issued a yellow warning for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Few parts of the city witnessed light drizzles on Wednesday evening. Ferozguda received the highest rainfall of 0.5 mm.

According to the forecast by Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS), most parts of the city might receive rainfall over the next three days.

The eastern parts of the



city, including Malkajgiri, Kapra, Secunderabad, Hayathnagar and LB Nagar may witness moderate rainfall. Due to the rain, the night temperature in various localities, such as Serilingampally, Chandanagar, Moosapet, Falaknuma and Patancheru might drop by three to four degree Celsius. As per IMD-H the minimum temperature in the city is likely to be around 19 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, several districts of Telangana including Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Mulugu, Nalgonda and Khammam received moderate to heavy rainfall on Wednesday. Kalleda in Warangal received 105.5 mm rainfall. Various districts continued to receive rainfall even on Thursday morning.
