The spell of heavy rain in several districts across Telangana, after weeks of dry weather, is expected to continue, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Tuesday issuing a heavy rainfall alert for the next 48 hours for multiple districts in the State.

The 16 districts placed under a heavy rainfall alert (64.5 mm to 115.5 mm) are Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar,



Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy.

Rainfall is also expected in Hyderabad, with the weather department issuing a thunderstorm, lightning and strong winds warning for Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Rangareddy, Yadadri-Bhongir, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal.
