In a clear sign of changing weather conditions and revival of the southwest monsoon in Telangana, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad issued a heavy rainfall warning from June 23 to 28.
For June 23 and 24, the heavy rainfall warning (64.5 mm to 115.6 mm), has been issued for Adilabad, KomuramBheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
For June 25, heavy rainfall warning has been extended to Jagtial, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad and Sangareddy
districts.
From June 26 to 28, a general heavy rainfall warning is given for Telangana. “Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (40-50 kmph) are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana,” IMD, Hyderabad said.
The weather forecast has also indicated gradual decrease in maximum temperatures by 2 degrees Celsius to 5 degrees Celsius in the next five-days.
The day time temperatures across all the districts are expected to range between 36 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius.
