IMD Hyderabad issues thunderstorm warning for several Telangana districts

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad on Wednesday issued thunderstorm warnings for multiple districts of Telangana between March 15 and 16.

Between March 15 and 16, the IMD, Hyderabad said, “light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana”.

“Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds (30 to 40 kmph) is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, KumuramBheem Asifabad,



Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sirisilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts of Telangana,” the five-day forecast said.

Between March 14 and 16, temperatures in Hyderabad and its neighbouring districts are also expected to drop. According to IMD-Hyderabad, the maximum daytime temperatures are expected to remain below 36 degrees Celsius for two days in Hyderabad from March 14.
