The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across Telangana over the next seven days, with heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds expected to affect several districts until July 3.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Hyderabad, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at many places across the state, while isolated heavy rainfall has been forecast on most
days.
For June 27, the IMD has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph are also likely over these districts, while winds of 30-40 kmph may affect several other districts, including Hyderabad.
