After weeks of intense dry heat, residents of Hyderabad and several districts in Telangana woke up to overcast skies on Wednesday morning following overnight thunderstorms across the State.
Between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday, parts of Hyderabad and neighbouring districts, including Vikarabad, Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri, recorded
light rainfall ranging from 8 mm to 12.5 mm.
In contrast, several districts received heavy rainfall. Dahegaon in Kumram Bheem district recorded the highest rainfall at 75.8 mm, followed by Kulkacherla in Vikarabad (56.8 mm), Bela in Adilabad (53.88 mm) and Bejjur in Kumram Bheem (52.8 mm), according to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society.
